Your Role as Project Engineer:
As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and execution of multi-disciplinary engineering projects. Youll work closely with project managers and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with design standards. Your expertise will directly contribute to the quality and efficiency of the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers to define clear project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Develop and oversee detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Lead and coordinate a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables
- Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and proactively implement solutions to keep everything on track
- Prepare and present regular project updates to clients and stakeholders
- Apply engineering principles to guide the development of design documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Conduct site visits to assess feasibility and ensure designs align with real-world conditions
- Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and emerging technologies
- Ensure all design documents meet or exceed the required standards and specifications
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and project partners
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment that fosters innovation
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably in an engineering design firm
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles, codes, and industry standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to travel (~25%) for business needs
- Ability to work on-site 80-90% of the time, with some flexibility for remote work
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
