Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design of piping systems using 2D and 3D software packages and produce drawings
  • Perform Pipe Stress Analysis using industry software
  • Design or select pipe support components and perform necessary calculations to verify adequacy
  • Develop piping specifications in accordance with industry codes
  • Evaluate vendor equipment for design applications and assist with equipment specifications
  • Perform equipment layouts using 2D and 3D CAD software packages
  • Examine and validate drawings for quality and compliance
  • Visit Client plant sites to evaluate design options and take necessary measurements
  • Adhere to Company and Client specifications and standards

For the successful applicant, both "on the job" and classroom training will help develop the skills need to perform the above tasks.

Qualifications

  • 4 year Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from an accredited College or University, prefer Mechanical or Structural
  • Educational emphasis in Mechanics of Materials, Strength of Materials, and Stress Analysis is preferred
  • 2D AutoCAD and/or 3D CAD drafting experience is a plus
  • Experience with design, layout, fabrication, or installation of piping systems is a plus
  • MS office skills is required (Word, Excel)


Must be able to physical move about an Industrial Plant and be able to climb ladders, stairs, and access tight places

Occasional travel to project site is required
