Our client is a global, multi-billion dollar company that specializes in manufacturing components for tractors, combines, and other agricultural equipment. This NA Supplier Quality Engineer role combines the benefits and resources of a large organization with a close-knit, family-oriented culture, as you'll be part of a small Quality team of just three at this facility. Job Description

Responsibilities for the NA Supplier Quality Engineer Opening:

  • Qualification and approval of potential suppliers and components, including activities such as Potential Supplier Audits (PSA), business case evaluations, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Interim Recovery Worksheet (IRW), Process Audits (PA), and Program Reviews (PR).
  • Support for new program launches, including Technical Reviews and Quality Risk Assessments (QRA).
  • Management of supplier quality performance and resolution of supplier quality issues, using Supplier Quality Plan (SQP) management, PIQ/PPM metrics, and other relevant tools.
  • Addressing current product management (CPM) issues and resolutions.
  • Ensuring the correct application of nonconformity containment tools, such as CSL1/2/3 (Containment Shipping Levels), and implementing proper corrective actions to maintain consistent supplier conformity.
  • In-depth knowledge and application of problem-solving techniques at supplier sites, including 8D, Ishikawa, and Pareto diagrams.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience with Print Circuit Board (PCB) assembly
  • Experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
  • Supplier Quality experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% (Mexico and US)
