Customer Support Specialist III - Multilingual Learners
Supports multilingual families with the processes of enrollment, choice and transfer while providing a high level of customer service.
Essential Functions
- Leads multilingual families through the processes of enrollment, choice and transfer
- Completes and compiles all necessary supporting documentation for enrollment, choice, and transfer
- Maintains electronic sign-in log
- Sends and follows up on requests for records from other districts/states
- Calls families to request missing documentation
- Files and shreds documentation as appropriate
- Receives and responds to phone calls and emails from a variety of stakeholders
- Follows up with families, document needs expressed, and shares resources as appropriate
- Maintains inventory of school supplies to be distributed to families
- Participates in training programs and workshops to build job knowledge and enhance skills
- Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies and contractual agreements; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies and professional standards.

Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree and three years directly related experience or high school diploma and five years directly related experience to include customer service.
- Bilingual and biliterate (Spanish) with strong oral and written communication skills in both languages.
- Proficiency in technical computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to enter data accurately using City Schools forms and databases.
- Ability to use tact and good judgement in interacting with students, families, and district office and school-based staff by phone, email, and in person.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with other departmental officials, associates, and employees.
- Ability to regularly reassess priorities and adjust to changing workload demands.
- Ability to support multilingual families through the processes of enrollment, choice and transfers efficiently and effectively.
