Job DescriptionThe Role:The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and performs all-around maintenance and repair services to increase the availability and reliability of the facility and its assets. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all equipment in their areas of responsibility. They will make recommendations to the Maintenance Team on any corrective measures that will result in greater efficiency, quality and economy of operations. During capital projects, they may be called on for consultation, inspection or to assist in the selection and installation of new equipment.How You Will Make an Impact: Maintain all equipment in the assigned areas in good working order as dictated by ISO-9000, Process Safety Management, or internal standards and follow a good comprehensive preventive maintenance program through prompt corrective action. Experience with Positive Displacement (PD) pumps, Centrifugal pumps, and diaphragm pumps Perform CM and PM (repair, alignment, etc.) Experience with gear box, motor, and pump alignment Experience with alignment using laser and reverse dial Experience with current technologies for condition-based monitoring, like vibration testing/gathering vibration data Must be able to remove, install, troubleshoot, and rebuild in the field and on the bench Must be willing/able to perform mechanical work as needed to support the site Must be experienced in LOTO Identify and secure parts, tools, and inventory to complete work orders Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures Maintain and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment Operating hoisting and lifting devices as necessary during the repair of machinery Working independently and with others to solve mechanical and technical problems Working accurately with numbers, and on occasion doing basic drawings of machine parts Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery Maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times Physically capable of wearing PPE, respirator, or other safety gear necessary to complete the job Be a mentor for other maintenance technicians Consult with engineers and vendors to complete work order requirements and work order closeout Provide guidance and direction for contractors when needed Willing to work overtime and weekends as necessaryDischarge duties in accordance with SI Group's Quality policy. Within job scope, ensure the implementation of compliance programs for all federal, state and local regulations covering employee health, safety security and the environment.
