Due to expansion this Director of EHS opportunity is open and looking to be filled quickly. Our client is a privately owned company with plans to grow 8-fold in the next five years. An industry leader that has been at the forefront of safe and responsible technology and processing for decades. This is a high visibility role reporting to the VP of Operations.
As the Director of EHS you will lead and manage the EHS function and build the team to provide technical support for multiple facilities in the US and Canada.
Summary of responsibilities and requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or directly related EHS discipline.
-7+ years' of successful experience leading a multi-site environmental and safety team and programs within manufacturing.
-Oversee the operation of all facilities for conformance with permits and regulations.
-Thorough knowledge and understanding of all OHSA/EPA/DOT regulations.
-Hazardous waste experience preferred.
-Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
-Availability to travel up to 20%.
