UCT is looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer II to join us in Austin, TX!Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Requires a broad knowledge of Manufacturing Practices, Assembly Prints, Bill of Materials to be able to create Manufacturing ready documentation such as S.O.E.'s (Sequence of Events) and Assembly Process Workflow.Provides technical direction and on-the-job training to production staff.Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates Manufacturing Engineer portion of the system build.Prepares and/or modifies work instructions, BOM structures and training curriculum.Ensures proper interdisciplinary coordination and effective communication on projects.Requires contact with Customers, vendor's representatives. Attends and participates in Customer meetings.Confers with engineers, technicians, customers, and others to discuss best practices in effort to streamline build processes and procedures.Inspects completed systems; partner with Manufacturing and Quality organizations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.Supports project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.Investigates customer or internal issues, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend corrective actions.Assists in cost estimations and developing of capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.Evaluates and processes Engineering Change Orders.Performs other duties as required.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Lean Manufacturing Principles, Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred.Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment.Knowledge of electronic Work Instruction software is a plus (i.e. Sequence).ERP System Software (i.e. Epicor).Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite, emphasis in Excel.Prior experience leading small teams to achieve project success.Good Interpersonal skills: ability to work alone or in team environment.Educational/Certification Requirement: Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Manufacturing or related field preferred with 2 years of experience in related manufacturing/ production position; orAssociate of Arts (AA) in a technical field with more than 5 years of manufacturing experience.Experience Requirement:Work Experience: 5+ years related experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry.Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment.Physical Demands and Working Conditions: This section is required for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Acts (ADA).Criteria:Work Environment:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWorks in a manufacturing, clean room and/or office environment.Physical Demands: Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Ability to move arms, hands and fingers.Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.Ability to sit for sustained periods of time.Ability to talk on phone and use computer for extended periods of time may be required.Environmental Exposure:Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.Subject to noise levels.Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals and debris.May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computer etc.Overnight Travel: Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).At Ultra Clean Technology, we do not just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
