Position description
The Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), is recruiting for a postdoctoral fellow. The position is focused on collaborative research in COVID-19 and emerging viruses (Mpox), specifically aimed at identifying cellular therapeutic targets and the development of antiviral drugs. These projects are backed by stable NIH and DOD funding in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Previous experience with virus culture, reverse genetics-genome cloning, next-generation sequencing, molecular assay development, or/and animal handling is highly desirable.
