Our goal is to shape the future of neurosurgery and neurosurgical implants.Job Description and Responsibilities:As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will be expected to design, verify, and oversee the transition to production of a variety of custom electronics systems. This role offers substantial autonomy and the exciting opportunity to own creative decisions and execute on new, impactful projects such as actuator/robotics stage designs, end effectors for robots, image-capture pipelines, telemetry systems, networking architectures, and patient sensors/tools. Required Qualifications: Pursuing a degree or early career Electrical Engineer, or experience in a related fieldDemonstrated circuit board design experience:Ability to explain how your designs have performed in the real world. Design examples include completed internship work, formula or aero SAE designs, self driving or hyperloop design competition work, DIY projects, etc.Design experience integrating microcontrollers, FPGAs, or SoMs into your PCBAsEmphasis or special expertise related to robotics is preferred (e.g., sensors, actuators, vision systems, position sensing)Can comfortably navigate and write basic scripts on Linux machinesPreferred Qualifications:Portfolio showcasing your projects or designs Capable of bringing up microcontrollers/embedded linux machines by writing basic test firmwareCompetency in one of the following software languages: C, C++, Python, or RustPay Transparency:Based on California law, the following details are for California individuals only:California Hourly Rate: $35/hr USDFor Full-Time Employees, your compensation package will include two major components: salary and equity.
