This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.The schedule is Swing Shift: Saturday 6AM-2PM; Sunday 2PM-10PM; Monday 10AM-6PM; Tuesday 10AM-6PM, Friday 2PM-10PMMajor Duties and Responsibilities:Installs, services and repairs environment-control systems in commercial buildings, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout.Mounts compressor and condenser units on platforms or floor using hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, The candidate must be familiar with Screw Type and Reciprocating Chiller.Installs, services, and maintains environmental equipment/control systems.Extensive knowledge of packaged direct expansion units, split systems, chilled water piping systems, DDC, pneumatic, and electric controls a must.Have good trouble shooting skills with electrical circuits/components for refrigeration equipment and refrigerate piping systems.Be able to read both ladder and line wiring diagrams.Assist estimators with HVAC layout with in building environment.Be able to communicate, work well with customers/co-workers, and handle being under pressure at times.Have good organizational skills with completing paper work and managing refrigeration/parts inventory.Average skill level with rigging, handling, and moving equipment.
