Tesla is looking for a passionate, a highly skilled and experienced Engineer specializing in failure analysis to join our Semiconductor Component Supplier Industrialization Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving comprehensive failure analysis efforts, utilizing skillsets not only on circuit analysis for respective applications, but also on in-depth investigations of the manufacturing processes, control plans, and D/PFMEAs (Design/Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).Your work will encompass a diverse range of different commodities, including ASICs, discrete components, sensors portfolios (current, magnetic, optical, motion, humidity and temperature sensors). You will establish defect rate baselines and develop targeted improvement plans while collaborating with cross-functional teams across PCBA, engineering, reliability, design, field quality, factories, and contracted manufacturers.This role also entails conducting design reviews with semiconductor suppliers and performing manufacturing audits, as well as leading qualification and characterization reviews.
