Martial Arts Instructor (Magnuson Community Center)
The Associated Recreation Council (ARC) in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation is recruiting a Martial Arts Instructor to lead various Martial Arts classes at Magnuson Community Center. The instructor will focus on providing practical instruction, and ensuring that students aged 12+ learn and operate within a safe, supportive environment.
Schedule:
- Start Date 1/6/2025
- Part time (2-4 hours a week)
Martial Arts Instructor duties and responsibilities include:
- As a Martial Arts Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling high-quality Martial Arts classes
- Provides practical instruction, and ensures that students learn and operate within a safe, supportive environment
- Plan, lead, and teach martial arts classes following standards and guidelines or other nationally recognized certifications
- Plan and prepare skill progression specific to martial arts for each class
- Other duties as assigned
Martial Art Instructor requirements include:
- Martial Arts Instruction experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possesses a working knowledge of safety and emergency procedures and be able to exercise sound judgment, and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately
Pay:
- $20.50-$22.50/hr
