Drive & Rotor Technician (Oregon Job-site)
Pay: Non-local: $40 (includes Per Diem) - Local: $28-32
Job Description
Working in a bench repair and testing environment in the Drive and Rotor shop overhauling helicopter powertrain components, the Technician will disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, test, and certify systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters. Two primary areas within the shop: Transmissions and Rotors. The Technician will read and interpret maintenance manuals, clean and inspect drive & rotor components and parts for damage and wear using visual examination and special tooling and equipment. The Technician will replace or repair damaged or worn drive & rotor parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment. Reassemble, test, and document inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in maintenance records.
Hard Skills
- Helicopter Mechanic
- Experience in servicing and repair of helicopter rotor heads and/or transmissions preferred
- Military or commercial powertrain maintenance and/or component maintenance training preferred

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Aurora, Oregon.
Work Environment
Component division of MRO facility, working in the Drive & Rotor shop area, which is split between Transmission and Rotors, repair and test benches. Initial schedule is 5 days a week (8am - 4:30pm) for several weeks, then will move to a 4 days a week schedule (6am - 4:30pm), either Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri.
