Ensight on Your Impact: (Job Responsibilities)
The work you do as a forensics Civil/Structural Engineer will directly impact our clients, your work will support delivering excellent project results and stellar client experience. If you enjoy being out from behind the desk, like to be technically challenged, and have a curious mind this is the career for you. The work of the forensic engineer encompasses the analysis of building property damage cause and origin, personal injuries, and design/installation issues, including construction, roofing, exterior facades, catastrophic claims, and geotechnical areas

At Envista, we believe in excellent customer service, unbiased scientific investigations and opinions, Envista Forensics supports this belief by providing continuing education and development to all team members, and believe that technical excellence is one of the most critical areas to invest in.

  • Investigates alleged failures, damages, or defects in the civil/structural fields within residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
  • Analyzes the building systems, determines the cause of failures, evaluates the quality of construction or reviews design or maintenance procedures.
  • Performs field investigations
  • Research and preparation of recommendations for repair and/or remediation.
  • Prepares reports and other documentation for clients.
  • Establishes trusted working relationship with clients and interacts socially at mixed engagements with clients.

Enfluence

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Active PE is required in the state of employment
  • 5 - 10 years' experience in design in combination of residential, commercial, and industrial setting preferred
  • 25 - 30%+ travel - Locally with occasional overnights
  • Ability to work in inclement weather and various environmental conditions
  • Ability to work in high areas such as roofs or scaffolding, requiring physical agility, balance, and resistance to acrophobia.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in a work capacity
