Looking for variety and an opportunity to support instrumental projects for a cell and gene therapy facility? We have an immediate opening for an I&C Technician to perform routine calibrations, preventive maintenance and repairs to instrument systems and components of laboratory equipment, production equipment, central utilities and building management systems.
Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:
- Technicians will assist as needed in performing troubleshooting and repairs efforts as assigned.
- Appropriate knowledge to troubleshoot problems in the event of instrument failure and be able to recommend parts needed for effective repair.
- Appropriate knowledge to assist manufacturing and facilities personnel in troubleshooting and diagnostic analysis on process and utility equipment.
- Supply of calibration standards for common equipment calibrations (pressure, temperature, RPM, humidity, time).
- Read electronic / mechanical schematics and piping diagrams P&IDs.
You'll be a perfect fit if you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree or trade school certification is a plus.
- Have at least three years' experience working as an Instrument Tech, Laboratory Technician, or Calibration Technician in related industry, such as power, chemical, food/beverage, pharmaceutical, or life sciences.
- Knowledge of servicing and installing I&C equipment within manufacturing or industrial site.
- Knowledge of performing calibrations of instruments, including but not limited to: autoclaves, incubators, freezers, refrigerators, BMS/BAS systems, Bioreactors, AHU's, CIP/SIP systems, RODI systems, WFI Systems, utility systems, fermenters, flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, radiation counters, or detectors.
- Read mechanical schematics and piping diagrams (P&IDs).
