Adcomm MDU is seeking a skilled and dynamic DIRECTV Field Service Technician Subcontractor to join our team, specializing in Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs). The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of DIRECTV services, ensuring top-notch customer experiences through troubleshooting, answering customer inquiries, and providing feedback to Adcomm MDU.

As a DIRECTV Field Service Technician, you will be working both indoors and outdoors, installing and repairing DIRECTV equipment. This role requires strong independent work skills, along with exceptional customer service abilities, as you will educate customers on the features and benefits of DIRECTV services. Your goal will be to uphold DIRECTV's reputation as a premier service provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service during all phases of DIRECTV system installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Install, upgrade, and repair DIRECTV products in accordance with quality standards.
  • Test DIRECTV satellite dishes and indoor equipment using specialized meters and tools.
  • Replace defective DIRECTV satellite dishes and equipment as needed.
  • Greet customers professionally and ensure installations are completed to their satisfaction.
  • Use eight-foot and twenty-eight-foot ladders for roof installations.
  • Utilize a DIRECTV meter to peak and align satellite signals.
  • Install coaxial cables and set up DIRECTV receivers.
  • Work at heights to install and service DIRECTV equipment, ensuring all services are fully functional.
  • Perform tasks in attics, basements, and crawl spaces, involving bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in cable installation, telecommunications, or related field is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of cable systems, networking concepts, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools for installation and repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Valid driver's license.

    • Cable Stripper
    • Cutters
    • Coax and Cat 5/6 Crimpers
    • Cordless Drill(s)
    • Ethernet Punch Down Tool
  • Have equipment, such as:
    • Cable Tester
    • Multimeter
    • Connectors
    • QAM Meter (Televes/JDSU)
    • Super Buddy Meter (Desirable)
    • AIM - Meter
