Overview

TRC is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated GIS Administrator / Sr. Analyst to provide technical support for clients and fellow TRC staff. The individual must have a minimum of 10 years of experience managing GIS/IT infrastructure systems and supporting advanced geospatial projects. This individual part work from varied TRC offices within the US.

The successful candidate must:

  • have excellent communication and organizational skills to work as a member of a larger GIS team to complete project tasks.
  • collaborate with project managers, clients, and GIS staff to ensure that quality and timely GIS support is provided on all projects.
  • keep abreast with current GIS technology and be responsible for discovering and implementing new technology with assistance from other members of the TRC GIS team.
  • be self-motivated and able to work independently with supervision from a GIS Manager.
  • have the ability to manage multiple projects needs concurrently and, in a time-sensitive manner

Responsibilities

  • ArcGIS Enterprise Administration - 2,000 + Users
  • ArcGIS Online Administration - 500 + Users
  • AWS Cloud Infrastructure Management including: Workspaces, Billing, EC2
  • RDS PostgreSQL Administration
  • Web Server Administration
  • ESRI License Management
  • Administration tasks include troubleshooting, patching, upgrading, VM's supporting the EI GIS Team
  • Develop ArcGIS implementation strategy for EI Geospatial Team
  • Develop and manage enterprise GIS databases, GIS webmaps, and GIS mobile apps
  • Production of figures for a variety of environmental reports
  • Desktop analysis of environmental constraints data such as soils, hydrologic features, land cover, public lands, etc. for planning field surveys or agency application submittals
  • Work interactively with data from CAD platforms and other geospatial data sources
  • Collaborate with other TRC staff to improve project methodologies and deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or other related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 year(s) GIS or related work experience.

Required GIS Competencies

IT/Cloud Infrastructure: Able to perform administration tasks for existing IT/Cloud infrastructure, identifies and implements new technology appropriate for supporting GIS team and clients.

Programming and SQL Languages: Able to use multiple programming languages to create useful applications or tools for interacting with data within a GIS. Able to apply SQL programming language to communicate with and manipulate databases.

Geodatabase Development & Design / Data Models: Able to utilize GIS applications to build a GIS, i.e. data mining, geodatabase design, data conversion, etc. Able to define data requirements needed to support business processes.

GPS Device/Applications: Able to configure and troubleshoot various GPS devices and mobile data collection applications.

Advanced GIS Analysis: Able to utilize GIS applications to perform advanced spatial analysis or data conversion or manipulation. i.e. raster/surface manipulation, mosaic, modify and repurpose imagery for other software. Able to use applications and scripts to create automated geoprocessing workflows.

Application of GIS/Problem Solving: Able to translate client needs to solutions using GIS technology. Able to identify the best tool for the job based on experience and knowledge of what is possible.

Web Applications/Services: Able to create map services and interactive web applications.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $129,000.00 - USD $170,789.00 /Yr.
