Nightwing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our team in the Washington, DC metro area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data architectures that support our clients' business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of data management, data modeling, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives.
Design and develop scalable and efficient data architectures.
Lead the data lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Ensure the integration of new data solutions with existing systems and infrastructure.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineering teams.
Conduct regular reviews of existing data architectures and recommend improvements.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data management and architecture.
Document data development processes, standards, and best practices.
Perform data maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture and management.
Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases is preferred.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman is preferred.
Desired Qualifications:
Certifications in ITIL, SAFe, Agile
Certifications in AWS and Azure
Knowledge in data mesh and data mesh software offerings

The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
