Position Overview
The Sr Solutions Architect, Back Office for Dutch Bros IT Data Management & Engineering organization plays a critical role in enabling efficiencies for our Back Office (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Real Estate, Legal) teams, leveraging effective technical tools. They are instrumental in partnering with our Back Office leaders & teams to strategically improve and advance the maturity of capabilities enabling our support functions.
The Sr Solutions Architect, Back Office leads efforts in shaping the technology backbone of several back-office domains. They are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the solutions architectures for multiple stakeholder teams.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or similar plus 4+ years of hands-on experience, or equivalent experience-based learning of 6 or more years in top-tier support of Back Office (ERP, HRIS) Systems.
- 6 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 4 years specifically focused on systems architecture (Solutions, Enterprise) and management.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex solutions ecosystems in back office and/or enterprise environments.
- Proficient knowledge and adherence with system security protocols (PCI, CCPA, etc) in collaboration with the IT Security team.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and customer service skills; must be detail-oriented with an ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Ability to process information, including gathering, interpreting, assessing, organizing, and verifying data and material problems with computer hardware and software.
- Ability to effectively research, analyze, and evaluate information to make decisions, solve problems, and achieve goals.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automating pipelines and deployments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in back-office architecture and infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and lead initiatives through influence and persuasion.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn & pursue new technologies and methodologies in a rapidly evolving technical landscape.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring high-quality deliverables within established timelines.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the IT team, guiding them in best practices and methodologies for solutions architecture.
- Experience with both waterfall and Agile/iterative IT delivery methodologies preferred.
- Food and Beverage prior experience preferred.
- Prior experience as an Enterprise Architect, preferred.
Location Requirement:
This position is required to be in Phoenix, Arizona and required 4 days/week in office.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Assess, design, build, and maintain the architecture that enables Dutch Bros back office support teams to operate efficiently and effectively:
- Lead the design of Dutch Bros data architecture, taking into account stakeholder teams' current and future business capability needs, as well as industry best practices. Evolve back office technologies, ensuring scalability, performance, continuous improvement and security
- Design and enhance back-office systems integration processes to address stakeholder needs
- Evaluate new and emerging technologies in the back office solutions space, assessing suitability for our organization's needs. Make recommendations on which tools, platforms, and frameworks to adopt, considering factors such as functionality, cost, and interoperability
- Conduct regular evaluations of the back office system architectures and collaborate with business teams to continuously improve the capabilities enabling our stakeholder teams
Collaborate with business & technical stakeholders to determine functional and nonfunctional requirements for back-office software and/or applications:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data scientists, and IT professionals, to understand back-office capability needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives
- Support and maintain reference architecture, capability maturity models, frameworks, and toolkits to enable adoption at scale
- Document best practices and create development resources that can be used by developers & SaaS vendor partners
- Maintain monitoring, reporting, diagnostic tools to ensure integrity of systems and while working towards self-healing structures
- Introduce automation to replace manual processes
- Evaluates and delivers recommendations for new technologies and solutions, including hardware and software, and provides documentation for store back-office solutions and projects
- Continuously assess and optimize our back-office solutions architecture to improve performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. This may involve identifying bottlenecks, tuning integrations, or evolving systems to better meet evolving business needs

Compensation:
$129,018.96 - DOE
