THE POSITION
The Department of Labor and Industry is searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 for the SWIF Wilkes-Barre & Scranton District Office. This position reports to the TPA Division Chief and provides clerical support and technical assistance to TPA Services Division staff to ensure the efficient and effective TPA Services Division operations.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Responsibilities of this position include the following duties:
- Distribute faxes received via desktop to appropriate parties.
- Answer general incoming TPA Services Division phone calls.
- Sends out referrals to providers when IME'S, Medical Management, VOC, Surveillance, or Transportation is requested by Adjusters, TPA Division Chief or UEGF/SIGF Manager.
- Responsible for paying the following bills: IME, Medical Management, VOC, Surveillance, Transportation, Translation Services & mileage reimbursement to claimants.
- Reimburse claimants for out-of-pocket expenses.
- Maintain monthly reports on the 'P' drive that TPA Division Chief reviews & completes.
- Has a basic understanding of Microsoft Office & Excel.
- Type letters if requested by TPA Division Chief or Adjusters.
- Orders supplies as needed.
- Other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the SWIF TPA

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Scranton.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
