Georgia-Pacific's Continuous Manufacturing Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Green Bay - Packerland team as an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator. This position is a day shift, Monday to Friday position that may require occasional weekend or night-shift work. EHS Coordinators must be flexible to meet the scheduling needs of the facility. As an EHS Coordinator, you are eligible for full benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K packages, and are eligible for vacation of two (2) full weeks annually, which will be prorated for the remainder of this year. Our Team EHS Coordinators support the team to attain manufacturing goals while adhering to Environmental, Health, and Safety standards. The role reports to the site Safety Leader. What You Will Do Collaborate with the site Safety Leader and GBO Environmental team to achieve the company's short and long-term goals per the company's EHS visions. Support site Leadership and Department Teams (Converting, Logistics, Maintenance) in understanding and adhering to Safety & Environmental policies and procedures (related to OSHA, RCRA, EPA, DOT). Lead New Hire Orientation covering EHS related topics. Conduct EHS audits and inspections (such as weekly eye wash, monthly fire extinguisher and spill kit inspections). Report, investigate and manage incidents in a timely manner utilizing the Trax reporting platform. Support Site Level Energy Control Team and attend relevant monthly meetings. Proactively maintain knowledge of current and emerging federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulatory requirements affecting the facility. Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory, personal/department lockout locks, and other safety equipment as needed. Facilitate and document operational & physical HIRA's, and support Department and Facility Risk Assessments. Foster a "bottom up" approach, by engaging with employees on the floor and building their personal EHS knowledge. Routinely work in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy, and fast paced environment. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) A high school diploma or GED Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Experience using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Speak, Read and Write English Occasionally lift and pull up to 50 pounds What Will Put You Ahead A associate's degree or higher Experience using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and/or Operational Learning Experience in a Safety, Environmental and/or Quality role First Aid, CPR, AED, BBP training certification OSHA 30-hour general industry and/or construction training certification At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
