We are seeking a program manager to manage the packaging program, processes, and strategies used in our fulfillment nodes to deliver the best customer experience and meet Apple's standards of excellence!
Description
The Worldwide Logistics Packaging and Support team interfaces with the packaging engineering, engineering program management, environmental technology and regional logistics teams to implement and develop packaging solutions used to transport our products. As a liaison between these teams, we are responsible for ensuring operational requirements are met during product development, supplier sourcing and the timely flow of information to worldwide logistics teams are provided, and product launch/programmatic goals are met. This role will be expected to work with packaging procurement teams, and suppliers worldwide to ensure they are meeting all quality, material and design requirements, at the best cost.

- * Ability to collaborate across a worldwide organization to ensure business and operational objectives are met.
- * The ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to management and to proactively identify potential issues that can affect program targets or timing.
- * Experience interfacing with suppliers on all aspects of supplier qualification, and new package production.
- * Familiarity with materials and processes used in the packaging industry.
- * Experience with environmental objectives/landscape, and an understanding of a reverse logistics organization
- * Exceptional ability to build relationships, build cross-functional teams and exert effective influence in a matrix organization.
- * Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate and produce high quality materials essential information to Apple's suppliers, and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- * BS/BA degree in packaging or materials management preferred
- * 3-5+ years business experience
- * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or iWork products, SAP, and Adobe products (Acrobat Pro and Photoshop), CAD experience a plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,200 and $209,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
