Job Description
MBI Health Services’ Day Treatment Program offers a structured clinical program that focuses on developing positive mental, behavioral, and physical skills through a range of social, psycho-educational, behavioral, and cognitive mental health interventions. This program is designed to have a curriculum that assists our patients in the restoration of independent and community living skills, strengthening appropriate socialization skills, as well as teaching our patients how to adapt to their ever-changing surroundings.
The Day Rehabilitation Program Coordinator is an integral part of the service delivery system, responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the program are maintained according to the Department of Behavioral Health regulations and MBI policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Leadership:
Assist with leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Day Rehabilitation Program, ensuring it meets the needs of clients and aligns with organizational objectives.
Client Care and Progress Monitoring:
Ensure that client progress is regularly reviewed, with reports completed on at least 50% of participants every 30 days. Work closely with Community Support Workers (CSWs) to assess and report on client progress, making recommendations for treatment adjustments as needed.
Documentation and Compliance:
Ensure that all program documentation, including group notes and progress reports, is accurate, timely, and compliant with organizational and regulatory standards. Review and approve documentation submitted by facilitators, addressing any issues or discrepancies within 24 hours.
Program Development:
Assist with identifying opportunities for program improvement, incorporating the latest research and best practices. Lead initiatives to enhance program outcomes, client satisfaction, and staff efficiency.
Crisis Management and Incident Reporting:
Act as the primary point of contact for managing critical incidents, including substance use, aggressive behavior, and other crises. Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies to maintain a safe environment for clients and staff.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Assist with managing the program budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines. Prepare and submit regular reports to the Site Director, detailing program performance, staff development, and client outcomes.
Professional Development:
Promote and facilitate ongoing professional development for program staff, ensuring they remain informed about the latest developments in addiction treatment. Participate in relevant training and workshops to enhance personal and program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field required. Relevant certification or licensure in addiction treatment or mental health preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in addiction treatment, mental health, or a related field, with at least 1-2 years serving in the role of coordinator or program planning. Proven track record of coordinating projects, supporting the development of strong teams, and providing leadership to a diverse team.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, clients, and external stakeholders. Proficient in documentation and reporting, with a keen eye for detail and compliance.

Comprehensive understanding of substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health issues, and evidence-based treatment practices. Familiarity with regulatory standards, including HIPAA and other relevant guidelines.

Dedication to staff development, providing opportunities for continuous learning and skill enhancement. Ability to mentor and guide staff, helping them grow professionally and improve their service delivery.

Create and maintain a positive, safe, and supportive environment for both staff and clients. Ensure that the program environment is conducive to effective treatment and recovery.
