Land Surveyor at Ackerman-Estvold Engineering in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description per hour Competitive/ DOE Boise, ID, USA Hourly Full Time YOUR ROLE Ackerman-Estvold is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Professional Land Surveyor to join our Boise team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and other essential site data. This role requires a deep understanding of surveying techniques, equipment, and legal requirements. This position will work closely with engineers, architects, and clients to ensure that all survey data is accurate and delivered in a timely manner. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES + Perform detailed land surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipment to collect data on property boundaries, elevations, natural and man-made features. + Interpret and analyze legal descriptions, deeds, maps, and other documents to establish accurate property boundaries. + Prepare topographic maps and other survey documents that detail land contours, elevations, and other geographic features. + Provide construction stakeout services to guide the construction of roads, buildings, and other infrastructure projects. + Prepare and maintain detailed survey reports, legal descriptions, plats, and other documentation required for land development and ownership. + Work closely with engineers, architects, and planners to integrate survey data into project designs and plans. + Ensure all surveys are conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards. + Maintain clear communication with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress. + Oversee and mentor junior surveyors and survey technicians, ensuring the accuracy and quality of their work.
