YOUR ROLE
The Civil Engineering Technician-Intern will provide field construction inspection on local civil engineering projects.
Typical Project Types for the Civil Engineering Technician - Intern position:
Municipal Infrastructure; Land and Site Development Projects; Grading Projects; Water Distribution Systems; Sanitary Sewer Systems; Storm Sewer Systems; Roadway Improvements; Sidewalks & Shared-Use Paths; Small Pumping Facilities; Small Water and Waste water Treatment Facilities
JOB RESPONSBILITIES
•Measure and calculate construction quantities
•Read and interpret plans and specifications
•Project inspection to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
•Prepare accurate records, reports, and project files
•May aid in design, plan preparation, and quantity estimating
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to:
- Sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, and crawl
- Use hands to handle tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
- Communicate clearly
- The employee must: Frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Civil Engineering majors highly preferred
- Located in the Williston, ND area for the summer season
- Maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn
- Maintain a positive attitude

Location
This position is based in our Williston, ND office; however, occasional travel to other locations and business conferences may be required on an occasional basis.
Salary & Benefit Information
This is a seasonal position with hours that are expected to be between 40-50 per week for the duration of the season. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
