Under the Pye-Barker umbrella, Cox Fire continues to uphold its founding principles while leveraging the support of a national organization dedicated to life safety and fire protection services across the United States.<br />This position is responsible for the proper operation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and performing system checks. This position will assist in identifying system deficiencies and preparing accurate and timely inspection reports. The foreman assumes the lead role in 2-3 person crews to oversee work on customer sites at times.<br /><br />*Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:* &nbsp;<br /><br />* Conduct routine preventative maintenance on sprinkler fire systems.<br /><br />* Service and inspections of wet, dry and pre-action systems.<br /><br />* Inspects, maintains, repairs, or replaces fire sprinkler equipment and systems in strict accordance with applicable codes and standards.<br /><br />* Interact with customers in a mature and professional manner.<br /><br />* Provides advanced level technical assistance for team members and customers as needed.<br /><br />* Teaches trade skills to advancing apprentices/helpers.<br /><br />* Respond to emergency service calls.<br /><br />* Maintain a clean and safe workspace.<br /><br />* Perform other duties assigned by management.<br /><br />*Education/Qualification:* &nbsp;<br /><br />* 5+ years of experience with fire sprinkler systems required<br /><br />* Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license<br /><br />* Advanced working knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25<br /><br />* Skilled operation of sprinkler trade equipment including, but not limited to, impact wrenches, band saws, measuring devices, fitting take-outs, manual lifting devices, grooving machines, threading machines, and powered industrial lifting devices.<br /><br />*Other Duties:*<br /><br />* Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy. <br /><br />* Performs other duties as assigned. <br /><br />*Physical Requirements:*<br /><br />* While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />* The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />#Indeed<br />*Benefits and Perks:*<br /><br />* Excellent pay<br /><br />* Medical, dental, vision<br /><br />* Company paid life insurance<br /><br />* Company paid short term disability<br /><br />* 401K with employer match<br /><br />* Paid vacation and company holidays<br /><br />* Company vehicle (if job applicable)<br /><br />Pye Barker Fire and Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer
