Job Description
Under direct supervision, performs work of ordinary difficulty and responsibility in the areas of food services, housekeeping and maintenance and grounds operations; performs related work.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Collects soiled laundry/personal items/articles from all units and departments throughout facility i.e., Ground's equipment, Micro-Fibers, Cubicle Curtains, Beauty Towels, etc.
2. Sorts, counts, folds and weighs all clean items.
3. Labels all items as required.
4. Distributes laundering items/articles to all units and departments.
5. Maintains the upkeep of appearance regarding all articles i.e. Ironing, removal of stains.
6. Mends torn articles.
7. Use of weighing systems.
8. Operate, sanitize and maintain functional capability of various washers and dryers.
9. Adds and dispenses chemicals as required.
10. Perform routine cleaning assignments.
11. Maintains log books and required documentation.
12. Maintains department's product inventory.
13. Answer and documents all call requests/ transfer call requests to Linen Department.
14. Promptly addresses and seeks resolution regarding concerns.
15. Reports all accidents/incidents in a timely fashion.
16. Abide and apply OSHA safety requirements to all assigned work
17. Abide and apply proper Infection Control requirements to ensure compliance.
18. Attends and participates in regular safety meetings, In-services and trainings.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to read and write English and to understand and carry out simple instructions.
