Electrical/Mechanical AssemblerDetailsElectrical/Mechanical Assembler Naperville, IL 60563 Shift: M-F, 7AM to 4PM Pay: $25-28/HR, based on experience Contract to Hire QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in the Medical Device industry is highly preferred. Proficient in soldering fine pitch surface-mount components. Strong ability to read and interpret electronic circuit schematics, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation. Proven experience supporting product development of embedded systems, from concept through to design, verification, and validation. Hands-on experience with handheld consumer electronics development. Familiarity with Schematic Capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer in a structured environment. Experience with test equipment, including mixed signal oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, impedance analyzers, and power supplies. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Android/iOS devices. Ability to work independently after training, with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to lift and handle 25-pound boxes. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct testing on analog and digital board circuits at the board level. Perform circuit board modifications and rework on prototype samples based on Engineering work orders. Assemble and test prototype units, ensuring accurate documentation as per the manufacturing process instructions (MPI). Conduct root cause analysis and circuit verification and validation. Characterize RF performance using appropriate test equipment and fixtures. Assemble Reader and Dock units, generating necessary documentation as per MPI guidelines. Create, organize, and maintain engineering documentation, including the Design History Record (DHR), following Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Assist in writing manufacturing documentation such as MPI, QIP, and others as required. Tune Reader units and complete tuning forms accurately. Test fully assembled Reader and Dock units according to Standard Test Methods (STM) and Work Instructions (WI). Perform system verification and validation following medical industry standards, including ISO 13485. Label and package finished goods for shipment. Provide support to the R&D team and other product lines as needed. Maintain a clean and controlled working environment. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
