Description
Elephant & Co. is seeking an Experience Manager to lead our front-of-house teams at two locations: our original brewery, Eastern Market Brewing Company, and its experimental arm, Ferndale Project. In this position, you will be responsible for building and implementing a comprehensive onboarding process for our Customer Experience team. You will oversee their training and development, ensuring they possess deep beer knowledge and the skills needed to deliver meaningful moments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Directly manage and support a team of part-time bartenders across two locations. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure the Experience Team consistently delivers outstanding service to our customers.
- Onboarding & Training: Develop, implement, and continually refine the onboarding process for new bartenders. Ensure all team members are well-versed in our beers and our history.
- Customer Experience: Champion the company's purpose of delivering meaningful moments by ensuring the Experience Team creates memorable interactions for every guest. Monitor customer feedback and make adjustments to maintain high service standards.
- Operational Oversight: Collaborate with leadership to align the location's goals with overall business objectives. Manage scheduling, staffing, and daily operations to ensure efficiencies.
- Beer Knowledge: Ensure that all members of the Experience Team have a strong understanding of our beer offerings, brewing process, and craft beer culture. Provide ongoing education and training to enhance their knowledge and passion for the craft.
Cultural Ambassadorship: Uphold and promote the values and culture of Elephant & Co. within the Experience Team, fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of and passion for craft beer, brewing processes, and beer styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team development.
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team across multiple locations.
- Experience in developing and implementing training programs.
