Job Title - Lab Technician
Location - San Diego, CA
Duration - 6+ Months Contract
Client: Medical Device Company
Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens Or GC Holders Only)
Work hours: 8:00 - 5:00, but flexible

Must haves on the resume: lab experience (bench top scale equipment - specifically heat sealers or ultrasonic welders or equivalent PREFERRED)
Job Overview Responsible for supporting the manufacturing and assembling products for R&D. This includes operation of assembly equipment like heat sealers and ultrasonic welders. Role also includes lab maintenance, file maintenance and support in creating materials for batches to meet specifications. Responsibilities and Duties may include:
Cleaning lab supplies and glassware
Operating glass washers, dryers, and autoclaves
Creating label files from templates
Assisting with the removal and disposal of waste chemicals
Creating solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specifications
Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Must follow all Client housekeeping and safety policies and procedures. Must be able to work overtime as required to meet Client business requirements. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications: Minimum Education/Experience: High school degree with technical certification in the area of laboratory operations plus 1 year laboratory experience, AS degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year laboratory experience, or BS degree in a scientific discipline.
Basic Skills Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
Must be detail-oriented
Strong time management skills required
Proficient/Working Skills Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
Proficiency in MS Excel is required
