Compensation: $21 to $25/hour

What is the role about: This is a full-time position with duties that include producing finished goods such as oral tinctures, soft gels, and topicals. The position may also involve extracting and purifying CBD and other botanical products from biomass according to established procedures.

What will you do?

  • Perform a job in an ISO8 clean room environment requiring appropriate gowning in the area.
  • Assist in setting up and operating labeling equipment used to label bottles and cartons.
  • Assist in the set up and operation of semi-automatic packaging equipment used to package oral and topical products.
  • Perform in-process inspection on the packaging line.
  • Assist with cleaning of process rooms.
  • Ensure that product quality adheres to approved specifications.
  • Perform job responsibilities in accordance with standard operation procedures (SOPs) and production records with an expectation of "Right the First Time."
  • Produces quality extracted products according to company procedures and policies.
  • Conducts the processes safely and accurately by adhering to all safety requirements throughout the shift and performing daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
  • Uses a variety of equipment, including but not limited to production and extraction equipment, scales, evaporation equipment, and distillation equipment.
  • Utilizes all Personal Protective Equipment as documented.
  • Regularly clean and maintain production equipment, work surfaces, and tools.
  • Accurately and legibly documents all extraction workflow and data to ensure process integrity using GMP principles.
  • Assists in maintaining accurate inventory counts of supplies and materials.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Needed to be successful:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; a STEM degree is preferred.
  • 1 year of production/manufacturing experience with extraction processes preferred.

Specialized Skills and Physical Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP).
  • Ability to follow and understand production records and procedures.
  • Understanding basic math and writing skills to accurately document production activities in batch records and/or logbooks.
  • Capability to operate on a fast-paced manual assembly line using basic production equipment.
  • Must have a self-starter attitude with a proactive, results-oriented focus and be willing and capable of assuming additional responsibilities.
  • Proficient with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
  • Strong professional and respectful verbal and written communication skills in all interactions with employees, coworkers, and management.
  • Competency with electronic data collection and document control.
  • Ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work quickly, meet daily production goals and perform well as part of a highly collaborative team and independently.
  • Strong production skills, such as the ability to work quickly while maintaining high product integrity.
  • Mindfulness and adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures when handling hazardous materials.
  • Be highly organized, clean, and efficient in meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Able to multi-task with distractions and maintain a high level of product integrity.
  • Basic math skills are required; advanced math skills are required for higher-level operator roles.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to pass a vision test from a licensed eye doctor or physician.


Work Hours: Hours vary and are dependent on business needs, scheduling 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week. Hours worked per week may vary with the workload. Evening and weekend work is required as needed to satisfy the requirements of the job.
