LMI is seeking a skilled Front-end Software Developer (Mid/Senior) to support a defense contractor client via teams located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities
In this role you will work directly with scientists, engineers, analysts, software developers, and a range of customers to provide systems and software (S/W) engineering expertise, including translating complex systems into modeling architectures that can be used in LMI's world-class modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A). The Front-end work that we require will support S/W applications can include (but are not limited to) a python-based MS&A framework, platform & system models, advanced thin-client visualization, containerization & Kubernetes for High Performance Computing (HPC) deployments, cloud deployments, analytical engine development, and the execution of analyses. The analysis work products will be used by a wide range of audiences including the U.S. Government, up to the highest levels within the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Executive Branch. The successful candidate must enjoy working in a highly innovative environment, where you not only answer difficult questions, but you also help formulate the questions themselves.
Key Responsibilities:
Modeling architectures of complex systems. Engage with your team and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into solutions.
Collaborate with other engineers to leverage feature development across projects and exercise features to perform analysis for customers.
Actively participate in all agile sprint ceremonies.
Demonstrate your developments to customers.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering with 8+ years of professional development experience or Master's degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineeringwith 6+ years of professional development experience.
Familiarity with the Space Domain
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, React, UI State Management (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing utilizing Jest, Vitest, and Cypress
Familiarity with Front-end build tools, Vite, Webpack, Rollup, etc.
Data Visualization utilizing libraries such as Plotly and D3
Familiarity building and interfacing with REST services
Familiarity with document databases and scalable data management (MongoDB, etc.)
Experience building, publishing, and managing packages within a Node.js environment (npm, yarn, etc.)
Ability to develop products both collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work across disciplines.
Ability to give and take feedback.
Self-starter who can follow-through and complete projects from start to finish.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Candidate must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI clearance (willing to take CI/Poly), but no clearance is required to start (eligibility to obtain a clearance is required).
Extra Credit:
Experience using both Scrum and Kanban.
Familiarity with cloud services, orchestration, and scalability (AWS or Azure)
Familiarity with static code analysis tools (SonarQube, Fortify, etc.)
Familiarity with setting up and modifying CI/CD pipelines
3D Visualization utilizing Three.js, WebGL, or WebGPU
Experience with GPU compute utilizing WebGPU
Experience with WASM
Experience with Python
Target salary range: $104,040 - $183,600. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
