Summary
The ideal candidate is a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Information Technology to lead our IT department. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader who understands the importance of technology in driving business success in the luxury hospitality industry. This role involves overseeing the implementation of new systems, enhancing guest experiences through technology, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
Essential Functions
Job duties include, although are not limited to:
Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with The Boca Raton Resort and Club's vision and operational goals, focusing on enhancing guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Lead and manage the IT department, including infrastructure, user support, security, and project management, ensuring that the team is highly motivated and operates efficiently.
Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems and projects, including property management systems, guest service technologies, and back-office operations.
Ensure the security of the resort's IT infrastructure, data, and digital assets by implementing industry-standard cybersecurity measures and conducting regular security audits.
Foster innovation by identifying and integrating new technologies that enhance guest experiences, improve operational efficiency, and provide a competitive advantage in the luxury hospitality market.
Expertise knowledge of hospitality systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of technology solutions tailored to the unique needs of luxury hospitality environments.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all technology solutions and services meet our quality standards and cost-efficiency requirements.
Collaborate with other executive leaders, hotel General Managers, and Membership Leadership to support and implement technology solutions that meet the diverse needs of our departments, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI on technology investments.
Stay informed of the latest technology trends and developments in the hospitality industry to keep the resort at the forefront of innovation.
Internal Relationships
Reports to Chief Financial Officer.
External Relationships
Has regular contact with associates, vendors.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing IT strategies that enhance business operations and guest satisfaction.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and emerging technologies relevant to the hospitality industry.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse IT team.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and work collaboratively across departments.
Commitment to staying abreast of technology trends and innovations in the hospitality industry.
Education/Experience Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least five years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry or a similar luxury service environment.
