is Hiring a Ski/Snowboard Instructor (non-certified)!
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are looking for positive enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders that are willing to be out on the mountain in all weather conditions teaching skills to beginners and first-time guests. You are responsible for our guests having a great experience and wanting to return for more. You should enjoy talking with people of all ages and demographics and be able to communicate in a friendly and welcoming manner.
THE BENEFITS OF JOINING OUR TEAMIn this position you will have the opportunity to learn teaching and riding skills from the best skiers and snowboarders in Juneau and will have the opportunity to become a certified instructor once proficient in the required skills
WORKING HOURS AND LOCATIONYou will be working at Eaglecrest Ski Area Wednesday through Sundays and during holiday periods. Work times vary depending on lesson demand and will be at the direction of the Snow Sports School Director.
Typical Responsibilities
In this position you will learn to teach and/ or independently teach skiing or snowboarding lessons to children and beginners. Non-Certified instructors must keep classes on the lower mountain where supervisors and higher- level instructors are available for immediate assistance. You may get the opportunity to assist higher level instructors on the upper mountain as the year progresses and your knowledge of teaching skills progress. You may also assist with set up and tear down for special events and set up and tear down for the teaching areas. You will be provided opportunities to further your personal ski and snowboard skills as you are taught ways to communicate these skills to your students.
Minimum Qualifications
There are no minimum qualifications required for this position. Proficient ski and snowboard abilities are desired.
