Arosa is seeking an experienced Data Architect to be the technical partner to the Director of Business Transformation. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a strategic mindset to support our company's goal of creating a strong data and API infrastructure that supports our business objectives. This is a full-time position located remotely and will require meetings in a variety of US time zones.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Data Architect will join Arosa during a pivotal restructuring phase, tasked with building the company's data and API infrastructure from the ground up. This role will oversee current and future process automation to enhance resource utilization and streamline data transfer between applications. Additionally, the Data Architect will support company objectives by managing data visualization through BI tools. Key responsibilities include developing and enforcing API standards, ensuring security and scalability of the API infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate various data sources, and providing technical guidance and training to team members. The Data Architect will also be responsible for monitoring and optimizing API performance, troubleshooting issues, and staying up-to-date with industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP API Protocols and management
Experience using IPaaS solutions like Workato, Boomi, or Zapier
Proficiency in reading and writing scripting languages like Python, Java, SQL
Knowledge of ETL pipeline design and ETL tools like Fivetran and Hevo
Experience with data warehouse management and data modeling in Snowflake or similar Data warehouse solutions
Proficiency in using PowerBi (or equivalent tools) and creating dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with multi-departmental stakeholders (operations, finance, human resources, and marketing)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to gather technical requirements from business stakeholders and translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be inquisitive and have the ability to question established workflows and processes
Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in a technical role or similar position.
Strong background in API management and documentation.
Education & Training
B.S. degree in computer or data-related major (or equivalent exp)
