We are looking for experienced, outstanding Assistant General Manager to join our team, with growth opportunities. You will be working with a fun, positive, and efficient team to provide guests an experience that will keep them coming back each day. Burton Sandwiches is a franchisee of Jimmy John's that aims to offer convenience for everyday busy people.

We aim to establish and maintain a long-term close relationship with our guests, within our trade area by offering outstanding service, and superior product quality, at affordable prices.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service Provides guest service, resolves guest issues, understands and exceeds guest expectations, develops and maintains guest relationships
  • Handles POS transactions and payments with accuracy
  • Ensures food and drinks are made quickly, efficiently and accurately
  • Complies with all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean/ neat work environment
  • Supervise team of retail sales workers
  • Adjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Train and evaluate employees
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail, customer service, or other related fields
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Positive and outgoing
  • Works well with others, a team player
  • Able to learn and execute multiple tasks
  • Seeks ways to improve guest satisfaction; asks questions,

As the day-to-day operator of the store, the Assistant Manager is expected to:

  • Drive sales and profitability through effective execution of the Company's business plan
  • Create a positive working environment by fostering teamwork among Team Members through effective training, communication and relationship building
  • Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner when dealing with customers, Team Members, and corporate management
  • Act as a role model for other Team Members by adhering to all state and Federal labor and health laws and upholding the policies and standards of performance and conduct that is set by the Company and the Dunkin brand
  • Work with integrity, honesty and accountability in all situations

Requirements

  • Previous managerial experience
  • Previous fast food / quick service restaurant experience required
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership sills
  • Financial literacy and analytical / problem solving skills
  • Access to vehicle and Drivers License
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Must submit to background check

Jimmy John's history and franchise information go back to 1983 when Jimmy John's dad gave him two options after high school graduation: join the service or start a business. As much as Jimmy appreciated the contributions made by our nation's service members, he knew his skills would be better put to use running his own business. And so, with a $25,000 loan from his father (who would briefly be a business partner), Jimmy opened his first sandwich shop, serving only the freshest meats and baking the bread himself!
