This position is responsible for providing assistance to residents in Assisted Living with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. This position supports the department manager with training of new staff and care management planning.
Job Description
- Provide assistance as needed with bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
- Upon direction of the Health and Wellness Director, coordinate and conduct training of new staff members.
- Meet on a regular basis with the Health and Wellness Director to review resident care issues.
- Responsible for scheduling care staff and covering shifts when needed.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents.
- Document daily log of assistance.
- Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
- Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
- Respect residents' confidentiality.
Qualifications
Level of Formal Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Years of Experience: 1+ years of experience preferred
Type of Experience: Senior care or related field
Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.
Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills

•Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely.
