Location: Stone Mountain, GA

Salary: $110k-$115k + 10% bonus

Schedule: Monday- Friday (fully on-site)

Travel: 25% to other facilities (1 week out of the month for a couple of days. )

About the Role:

Are you passionate about creating a safe and compliant work environment? Join our team as the Shared Services Support Center (SSSC) Safety Manager, where you will lead safety and environmental compliance initiatives across our organization. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the safe production of high-quality products while adhering to our client's Mission Statement, Safety & Quality Policy, and all customer guidelines.

What you get to do:

  • Provide guidance and direction in safety and environmental compliance to plant operations, plant leadership, and executive leadership.
  • Coach, train, and mentor the organization to achieve a zero-incident culture.
  • Coordinate OSHA reporting and conduct incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Implement and review hazard assessments, identify risk reduction opportunities, and implement controls.
  • Partner with plant leadership to implement safety initiatives and improve workplace safety.
  • Conduct safety inspections, meetings, and training programs, including new-hire safety orientation.
  • Maintain and complete all necessary paperwork related to work-related incidents and monitor medical treatments.
  • Assist with the specification and purchase of safety equipment and systems.
  • Stay informed of new developments and trends by maintaining membership in relevant safety or environmental associations.
  • Prepare legal notices, postings, and reports as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Enforce compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

What you need to succeed:

  • College degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
  • Safety certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Safety Manager (CSM).
  • Minimum of 5 years of safety leadership experience in the production manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth understanding of OSHA, EPA, and local environmental standards.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time to support facilities for audits, training, etc.
