Every Special Child Is seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers for School Year 2024-25 to join our team in San Francisco, CA. We have the following requirements:
- 1 Full time Mild/Mod Special Education Teacher for High School - SDC
- 1 Full Time Mild/Mod SDC Teacher for Elementary
- 1 Full Time Resource Specialist Teacher for Middle School
- Start date: Aug 2024
- End Date: Jun 2025
Job Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for teaching groups of students.
- Meet each students learning requirements and build individual lesson plans to their specific needs.
- You will also discuss with parents and support staff to meet students progress.
- Adapt learning materials to students needs, ability to create IEPs
- Keep track of and reflect on students progress
- Monitor childrens behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed
- Prepare students for the transition to the next grade
- Coach/mentor other professionals who work with children with disabilities
- Collaborate with the support staff
- All other duties related to the program.
Requirements:
- Valid California Mild/Moderate or Mod/Severe Education Specialist License
- 1+ years of working experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university; Masters Degree with an emphasis in special education preferred.
