DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts
- Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs
- Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools
- Replace worn, damaged or defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts
- Attach moving parts and sub-assemblies to basic assembly unit, using hand tools and power tools
- Move machinery, supplies and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, cranes, and trucks.
- Assemble machines, bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repair and lubricate machines and equipment
- Position steel beams to support bed-plates of machines and equipment, using detailed technical drawings and schematic drawings, to determine work procedures
- Weld, repair, and fabricate equipment or machinery
- Troubleshoot equipment, electrical components, hydraulics, or other mechanical systems
- Operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
- Position equipment using hand tools, power tools, or heavy equipment
- Assemble mechanical components or machine parts
- Lay out work according to specifications
- Communicate with coworkers to coordinate installations or repairs
- Fabricate parts or components
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years experience
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Must agree to (and pass) a background check, physical, and drug screening testing
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience using a Computer/Tablet
- Knowledge of using Hand Tools (i.e., Wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, micrometers, calipers, tape measure, bore gauges, etc.) as well as Power Tools (i.e., band saw, table saw, nail gun, lathe, drills, mill, etc.)
- Experience utilizing Specialty Equipment such as forklift, welder, and torch
- Able to occasionally travel
SCHEDULE & PAY
- Monday - Friday
- Weekends and OT when necessary
- First shift
