Carlow University is currently seeking experienced nurses to teach clinical in the BSN program with students in Oakland and Saint Vincent campuses throughout the summer, fall, and spring semesters. Opportunities in nursing clinical courses include Nursing Care Fundamentals, Mental Health, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Medical/Surgical, Community Health, and Leadership in Professional Practice. Clinical experiences are conducted in the skills and simulation center on campus, and within Allegheny Health Network, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Independence Health System, and various community agencies.

Course materials and mentoring will be provided.

Ideal candidates are reliable, versatile, and committed to teaching and learning. Candidates must demonstrate and reflect understanding of, and commitment to, the mission and core values of the University and the Sisters of Mercy, and have experience working with diverse populations.

Requirements:

  • Active PA RN License.
  • BSN required.
  • MSN enrolled is required if not completed at the time of hire.
  • Three years of recent nursing care experience.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Experience working with electronic health records preferred.
