Innovative plastic packaging company looking to hire a Folder Gluer Operator. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who excels working in a demanding and fast paced environment.
Job Duties:
- Read and evaluates job ticket, print card, and CAD drawings, follows production schedules, prioritizes, and organizes
- Sets-up machine and sets up pre-feeder
- Operates the machine, performing setups, monitoring, cleaning, and adjustments
- Operates pre-feeder, or stacker
- Monitors machine for bad sheets, wrong loads on rollers, etc.
- Fills out "Quality Checklist" compares test samples to information located on checklist
- Sweeps floor, keeps work area clean and organized
- Helps to initiate, recommend and provide solutions with supervisors and co-workers, and help verify the implementation of solutions
- Sets up the stacker to ensure neat stacks using correct dunnage and pattern specified on job ticket
- Determines appropriate machine speed to meet production goals while maintaining consistent quality
- Double checks to make sure load quantities and load tags are correct for the order
- Recognize nonconforming products and advises operator
- Preps for upcoming orders by staging dunnage, print load tags. Inspects to insure all is correct and/or in good working order
- Completes order in computer, fills out last load sheet. Fills out quantity, date, and prints last load tag at correct quantity
- Keeps area clean and organized
- Performs similar job duties as required
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Writing, mathematical skills, and a basic mechanical understanding
- Experience with Folder Gluers
- Two or more years' experience with machine operation, preference in folding and gluing
- Possesses the knowledge to work safely with available tools and chemicals
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle fast pace and high stress environment
- Ability to withstand dusty and noisy conditions
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and push/pull at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel or stoop for extended periods of time
Salary: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE
Work schedule is 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am. Shifts are 3 on 4 off alternating Wednesday.
