Plumbing Assembly Lead
Job Summary
- Organize industrial plumbing assembly work.
- Prioritize work, assign tasks to team members, check accuracy and quality of work, work with the team.
- Perform industrial plumbing assembly work on larger scale machines.
- Fit, align, adjust, and connect components and assemblies within close tolerances.
- Assemble plumbing part of the machine based on information translated from job orders, work instructions, procedures and drawings.
- Take complete ownership of the project at hand.
- Able to read Plumbing and Instruments Diagram.
- Able to read engineering drawings.
- Ability to rout plumbing based on P&ID.
- Ability to build quality, esthetically appealing plumbing, with no licks.
- Able to perform PVC, Polypore, and steel plumbing. Glued and threaded connections.
- Understanding the entire scope of the job at hand and being able to work/communicate with other techs working on the same job and do efficient work.
- Use proper tools and equipment for different types of plumbing.
- Keep work areas clean in appearance.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for planning and executing the entire plumbing assembly of a machine.
- Communicating with other trade leads (electrical, mechanical) working on the same machine.
- Successfully read and understand various schematic layouts.
- Must be able to use a large variety of small hand tools such as wrenches, torque wrenches, saws, and must be able to use mechanical measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers, measuring tape.
- Is willing to engage in ongoing education and is interested in continuous improvement.
