Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix West - Tolleson is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a new hotel where our standards are high, and we reward hard work and dedication. Our Maintenance team is responsible for setting the standard by ensuring the property and grounds are clean and appealing, in addition to guaranteeing the comfort and functionality of the hotel. Our ideal candidate will have experience with general maintenance tools and equipment, and some exposure to industries including HVAC, construction, electrical work and repairs, plumbing, or general property management is preferred. Our hotel is brand new, and our Maintenance team is dedicated to maintaining its pristine condition and completing the last few projects on the grounds. This role is ideal for someone who wants a long-term, stable position within the industry, someone looking for more than just their next job. Job Responsibilities:Complete minor repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, repairs to pipelines, toilets, sinks, kitchen, and laundry equipment, etc.Perform preventative maintenance duties as detailed in the hotel preventative maintenance calendarEnsure that assigned equipment is prepared and operational for the following day's workMonitor efficiency of equipment and electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, guest entrance/access doors, television sets, and lighting systemsMake minor repairs and/or replacements to ensure things are working properly and efficiently at all timesRestore furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if neededMaintain front entrance area, parking area and/or garage, and ensure street entrance is a clean and presentableMaintain the safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the facility, grounds, pool, and exercise/sport facilitiesEnsure the security of inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, televisions, etc. using established hotel proceduresReplenish supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimize wasteFollow established safety procedures at all times.
