Job DescriptionSummary: Keeps premises of commercial, retail, airport, hospitality, healthcare, convention centers/arenas or other institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.Summary:To take the actions necessary to make minor repairs, execute work orders, perform preventive maintenance and other duties as assigned to care for the facility. Procedures will be accomplished in accordance with department policies and procedures and operating manuals.Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs minor preventive and corrective maintenance in one or more of the following areas:Minor construction work and repairsLight bulb change outsPaintingGeneral maintenance repairsMinor plumbing repairGrounds keeping, litter pick upOperating sweeper truck, floor scrubber, pick up truck, scissor liftAssists others with repairs and projects as assigned. i.e snow removal, shoveling, salting, etc.Utilizes blue prints and manuals in the performance of maintenance work. Interprets written instruction, sketches and plans a plus.Knows and observes safe working procedures.Maintains assigned mechanical rooms and work areas. Maintains a neat and safe work area.Inventories and maintains stocking of material in an orderly fashion.Evaluates and recommends orders for parts or materials needed.Accurately and timely fills out work summary sheet, log book, equipment log sheets.Participates in and fosters an approach to continuously improving quality that includes both intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities.In case of fire, internal or external disaster, perform assigned duties.Uses good communication and human relation skills when dealing with co-workers, otherdepartments and the public.Maintain a high standard of personal appearance.Perform other tasks or assignments as directed by the Manager.Participate in all department training. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English.Math Ability:Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
