At McLane Intelligent Solutions, we are searching for a dynamic Field Support Engineer to join our team. As a Field Support Engineer, you will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with installations, and ensure optimal performance of systems for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for clients on-site.
- Assist clients with installations and configurations of IT equipment.
- Respond to service requests in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' operations.
- Provide training and support to staff on software and hardware usage.
- Maintain documentation of service requests and resolutions.
- Collaborate with the technical support team to escalate complex issues as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their technology needs.
- Stay knowledgeable about industry trends and advancements in technology.
Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Experience with Microsoft Products, including Windows Desktop, Server, and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and network configuration.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Understanding of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical support or engineering role.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with MAC iOS is a plus.
