Job DescriptionMGS has an exciting opportunity for a Controls Engineer to join our MGS Germantown Manufacturing team. As a Controls Engineer at MGS, you will be responsible for the support of electrical control circuits along with machine software and programming architecture in the production environment. The position is responsible for maintaining, improving and providing Production support to allow equipment to run the most efficient and perform as needed for Production.Below are additional duties and responsibilities:Understanding of electrical switches, relays, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, digital devices, analog devices, etc.Programming of PLC / PAC machine controls and HMI interfaces. May need to work with and modify existing "template" software.Responsible for safety circuit design and understanding of safety categories.Programming of ancillary devices including but not limited to servo systems, robotics, vision, and motion controllers.Generates, communicates, and implements ideas and solutions.Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in completing tasks timely.Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.Any other duties as assigned.
