Our Opportunity We are currently seeking a thought leader in toxicology for a Principal Scientist position in our Health Sciences Practice in Austin, TX. In this role, you will work as part of a team to provide a high level of leadership and collaboration on projects related to toxicological evaluations, risk assessment, and risk communication involving a wide range of products and chemicals.
You will be responsible for Using expertise in toxicology to solve diverse and often complex human health problems affecting a range of clients.
Attracting and developing new projects and clients.
Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
Building and leading diverse teams.
Mentoring and developing technical staff.
Providing project management and project budget oversight.
Providing strategic consulting.
Promoting Exponent's multidisciplinary consulting expertise and your professional reputation through activities such as publishing papers, presenting at conferences, conducting seminars, or serving on expert advisory committees.
You will have the following skills and qualifications Doctoral degree in Toxicology, Epidemiology, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, or related scientific field.
Certification in toxicology.
10+ years of consulting experience with a proven track record of attracting new and repeat clients or funding.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding reputation among clients and the scientific community for integrity, responsiveness, and technical expertise.
Adept management abilities and demonstrated project management experience.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
Strong commitment to professional development.
