Description
We're seeking a Technical Program Manager on the Vision Pro team to collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure top-quality products and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include: - Working in the new product introduction group as a team of design, quality, test, and global supply managers to ensure top quality products and drive perfection into everything we do - Deep understanding of manufacturing trade offs and ability to provide DFA feedback to cross functional teams - Areas of ownership will include factory set-up and ownership of technical operational functions associated with manufacturing, including process design, assembly, automation, test, and yields - Executive level status reporting and presentations - Provide operational excellence in bringing-up scalable and sustainable mass-production process - Analyzing data and implementing quality improvement measures
- 3+ years of experience in engineering and manufacturing
- Ability to travel internationally ~20-25%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Meaningful experience in introducing products into manufacturing (high volume production and international OEMs highly desired).
- Excellent project management skills, especially in bottom line deliverables like
- Planning, Cost, and Delivery.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization.
- Experience in developing or commissioning custom assembly
- Direct experience leading any of the following functional engineering teams a plus: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Packaging Engineering.
- You should have the ability to communicate effectively in a global environment.
- An understanding of tolerance stack ups for assemblies and part level.
- Engineering design and strong knowledge of GD&T principles a plus
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, servomotors, PLC and PC-based control systems a plus.
- JMP, Minitab & Six Sigma experience a plus.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,200 and $227,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
