We are hiring an Engineer Specialist / Project Lead to support a NAVSEA program for Ship Integraity and Performance Engineering based in Washington, DC in a hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides expert consultation in one or more areas for the design, development and implementation of technical products, systems and draft guidance and policy under Government directions.
  • Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
  • Has extensive engineering knowledge and is considered an expert in one or more engineering specialties.
  • Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously.
  • Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms.
  • May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience and Bachelors Degree in engineering or in the field/related area.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Pay Range: VTGs estimated starting pay range is $125,516 to $177,423, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
